so, sunday night and although I am exhaustingly tired, I am keeping myself from falling asleep by watching the youtube Coachella webcast live... btw, The Strokes are SO good. anyways, I'm trying to stay up to watch Kanye... and I couldn't help but be completely inspired by the fabulous California-laid-back, Coachella fashion! this style is my mantra for the summer- love it!!

wish I was a California girl... I may not have the sun-kissed skin temperament *I burn like a chip* but I certainly have the heart. here are my favourite Coachella-esque fashion choices (all by Free People, hats from J.Crew) & celebs on spot of course :)

I love this boho-hippie style of coachella music-goers. it's so effortlessly california, and I just adore it!

it's all about the mini-floral skirts, waist-cinching belts and off-the-shoulder oversized tops- don't forget the floppy hats and long pendent chains!

absolutely love these looks- definitely sporting similar versions this summer! the little black lace shorts with the thick-light knit off-shoulder ivory sweater-topped with fedora = perfection! the layered bracelets are fabulous!

I love the nautical stripe tops! in bigger sizes, so they cascade down your shoulders are effortlessly cool!

love the jean jacket! and the woodstock accessories- fringe suede bag and choker necklaces mixed with long pendents- so California!!

J.Crew has the best assortment of hats ever!! these are my favourites!

I adore The Sartorialist! Street fashion is the ideal form of style inspiration. I am absolutely in love with the first look- long floaty maxi skirt, chunky sweater and scarf! Accessorized perfectly, with a cup of joe- perfection!

The man in the above picture is someone I'd love to see in person. One can only imagine, the flea market street, him shouting... and probably with a thick European accent.

Love these looks! I LOVE the floaty maxi-skirts! But in Calgary, it would be quite the risk to wear one nowadays- it's a winter wonderland outside! :(

absolutely love this space - the windows are my favourite, and the scenery is amazing! the fun purple lounge chair adds a pop of colour, as do the lovely vase of daisies. the bookshelf is my favourite.
